How to ... Make Your Own Dried Rose Petal Confetti

Add a touch of elegance to your wedding and celebrate in style with your own homemade dried rose petal confetti.

Follow these tips to create your own colourful and fragrant confetti from your garden.

When to Pick

To ensure the best quality confetti, it's crucial to pick your rose petals at the right time. Wait until just after full bloom when the petals are vibrant and full of colour.

Picking Process

Wait until it's a sunny day to pick (having damp petals will make the drying process longer and you could end up with a brown soggy mush); carefully deadhead the roses (this will help other buds to grow and re-flower) and then pick off the petals.

Make sure to select petals that are free from blemishes or tears for the best results.

Drying Method

After you've gathered your rose petals, lay them out on a sheet or towel in a warm room. Allow the petals to air dry for approximately 48 hours, ensuring they are completely dry before moving on to the next step.

Final Touches

Once your rose petals are fully dried your confetti is complete. Store your homemade confetti in a sealed container until you're ready to use it for weddings, parties, or other special occasions.

By following these expert tips, you can create your own beautiful dried rose petal confetti that will add a touch of charm and sophistication to your wedding.
